Journal Ethics
Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical behavior at all stages of publication. We strictly adhere to the industry associations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), that set standards and provide guidelines for best practices in order to meet these requirements. Our specific policies regarding duplicate publication, conflict of interest, patient consent, etc., Please visit the editor guidelines

Self-plagiarism is the redundant reuse of your own work, “use another’s production without crediting the sources,” or “present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source.” The IJOR also considers “self-plagiarism” as a form of plagiarism. An example of self-plagiarism would be when an author borrows from his or her own previously published work without the proper citation within the newly submitted manuscript. We provide plagiarism check software to our editor and reviewers as a part of our manuscript submission system.

Digital Archiving
Innovative Publication has a primary partnership with CLOCKSS Archive to provide long-term digital preservation.
CLOCKSS is a collaborative project between 14 leading publishers and 34 institutional libraries to provide a ‘dark archive’ that guarantees long-term preservation and access. It uses the LOCKS technology to archive all material from participating publishers.

Ahead of Print Policy
Articles published online under the “Ahead of Print” model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using DOI as the reference source. Innovative Publication has a policy that changes WILL NOT be made after the publication of an article unless an accepted procedure for making corrections to the scientific record is followed.

Open Access (OA) Publication and Creative Commons Licensing

IJOR is an Open Access (OA) journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.

Open Access (OA) provides a sustainable funding model for scientific communications while ensuring the widest possible access to research. Wider audiences and new readers can now freely access research articles without the hassle of payment or institutional support, which may be required to cover the expensive subscription. Open Access allows readers to use articles and data in new ways, including practices like meta-analysis and text mining, which reveal trends in science that would not be obvious at the level of individual articles.

Advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

IJOR does not endorse any product or service marked as an advertisement or promoted by a sponsor. Editorial content is not compromised by commercial or financial interests, or by any specific arrangements with advertising clients or sponsors. All advertisements and commercially sponsored publications are independent of editorial decisions. Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.

Once an advertisement has been deployed online, it will be withdrawn from the journal site at any time if the Editor(s)-in-Chief or Publisher requests its removal. All advertisements for drug-specific campaigns should encourage correct and rational use and must not be misleading.
